A recent conversation on identica about WebID authentication prompted me to find out exactly how to implement it.
The W3C WebID Protocol Implementations list shows three PHP implementations for authentication:

My Joomla-Virtuoso Sample Site has been relocated under sample.willdaniels.co.uk. I'll shortly be using it to demonstrate dynamic RDF views for Joomla! content using Virtuoso, with explanatory articles published here.
